HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED A REFILL® AND WHY?

Lash extensions are semi-permanent, meaning they are adhered to the natural eyelashes and fall out with them. The remaining lash extensions may remain 6 to 8 weeks, at most, due to the growth of the natural lash since application (think of hair that is colored, roots have to be touched up).

On average, every person loses one to seven lashes per day per eye. That means each week; you lose about 20% of your eyelashes.

The growth cycle of one individual eyelash lasts anywhere between 60 to 90 days, depending on the person. On top of that, lash shedding, just like all hair shedding, is seasonal. Generally, we lose most hair in the fall and spring, referred to as “seasonal shedding”.

There are, on average, 90-120 natural lashes per eye (in various stages of growth).

Shed on average 3 eyelashes per day/eye:

7 days   = 21 lash shed/eye

14 day = 42 lashes shed/eye

21 day = 63 lashes shed/eye

28 day = 84 lashes shed/eye

With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are typically only needed once every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed.
